Ensō Ink Paintings
Born out of the Zen arts, ensō, or Zen circles, are an opportunity to embody the unseen. Monica uses ink, iridescent pigment, and other materials capture the ineffability of time in moment to moment experience. The brush, ink, and paper become a direct extension of body, mind, and the universe. Each of the paintings below is an original and is signed, dated, and most are name stamped. For updates on new work, visit Monica's Instagram account. Find out more about Monica here. |
A selection of custom framed ensō paintings can now be found at Moss Home Goods Store in Morrisville, VT.

"Return to the root and attain the principle;
Pursue illumination and you lose it.
One moment of reversing the light
Is greater than previous emptiness."
